Drawing on its experience and expertise in motorsports, Pirelli introduces a patented road formulation to cycling, ensuring maximum grip and smoothness on both wet and dry surfaces. The elongated shape of the silica molecules, unlike the traditional spherical silica molecules, allows for a new level of sophistication in the tread compound, resulting in improved handling thanks to the ability to orient the compound in the direction of rolling. Furthermore, the improved mechanical resistance of the tread achieved by the improved interaction of the silica with other components (such as the aramid fibers directly dispersed in the compound) increases puncture protection and the tire's durability.

Combining the know-how developed for reinforced road structures and the experience gained in MTB, our engineers have created a Gravel construction that relies on both the mechanical resistance of the compound itself and a high cut-resistant layer that protects the casing from bead to bead. While punctures on the road are primarily caused by sharp objects, off-road punctures are more common due to stones or debris on the tire sidewall. For this reason, the textile material used for the TechWALL Gravel construction is particularly cut-resistant, ensuring greater strength for the entire structure. The tubeless-ready casing guarantees an optimal riding experience without the risk of forced stops thanks to the use of specific cut-resistant fabrics.
