For years, time trial bikes have been designed very similarly—flat, aerodynamic tubes, heavy, difficult-to-handle frames, and often sloppy braking. For the flat, fast courses of yesteryear, these characteristics may have been fine. With today's technically demanding courses, however, time trial bikes need to be different.
