Energy gel formulated with maltodextrin and fructose, in a 10:8 ratio, with a high carbohydrate content of 30g per gel. They contain sodium, are suitable for vegans, and are available in six flavors and two sizes.
High Fructose Gel is certified by the Cologne List, the world's first and largest doping prevention platform for nutritional supplements.
The Cologne List only includes products that have undergone rigorous analytical and labeling testing to ensure that manufacturers do not use prohibited substances on the WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) list in their formulations.
Each gel in the XS format of 44g contains 30g of carbohydrates and 140mg of sodium.
This formulation, based on "multi-transporter carbohydrates," has been shown in several studies* to facilitate intestinal absorption via different transporters. This characteristic represents an effective mechanism for increasing the rate of assimilation and oxidation of exogenous carbohydrates above 60 g per hour*.
To this end, research confirms that combining carbohydrate sources such as maltodextrin and fructose is highly recommended.
MALTODEXTRIN:
• Unlike glucose, it needs to be broken down, resulting in a more gradual and sustained source of energy.
• It has a high glycemic index, resulting in a rapid increase in blood sugar levels without necessarily providing an excessively sweet taste that could be unpleasant in this type of product.
• Being a carbohydrate chain, it has a high molecular weight which leads to a solution with lower osmolarity, aiding digestion and reducing possible gastrointestinal side effects.
FRUCTOSE:
• Fructose is a monosaccharide, the simplest form in which we can find carbohydrates; the 1:0.8 ratio, based on the latest studies, maximizes the oxidation of exogenous carbohydrates compared to other ratios.
• The use of fructose in such a specific proportion is recommended especially for those athletes who exceed a carbohydrate intake of 60 g/h.
• Thanks to this, the combination of maltodextrin and fructose allows you to digest and assimilate a high quantity of carbohydrates per hour, minimizing the risk of gastric problems.
