That's why we designed the S-Works Ares to be the most efficient, high-performance shoe on the market. Decades of Body Geometry development, obsessive innovation, and collaboration with top athletes have helped create an entirely new racing shoe. A new patent-pending closure system, tongue-less Dyneema®-reinforced liner, and a super-stiff FACT Powerline™ carbon outsole prevent play within the shoe, reduce tendon strain, and ensure every watt you put into the pedals translates into motion. These shoes are 1% faster than anything we've ever made, and at the finish line, that's all that matters.
• Body Geometry features, such as the longitudinal arch, metatarsal button, and varus wedge, are key for greater comfort, optimal performance, and reduced risk of injury. Proper hip, foot, and knee alignment reduces lateral/medial knee movement and preserves circulation all the way to the toes.
• The patent-pending closure system ensures an excellent hold for out-of-the-saddle efforts.
• Non-elastic zones have been created where the Dyneema® material is inserted into layers of synthetic material and TPU for a perfect connection and optimal comfort.
• Maximum power transfer thanks to the stiff and ultra-light FACT Powerline™ carbon fiber sole: stiffness index 15.0.
• BOA® Li2 Fit system with independent dials and micro-adjustment, with the Boa® guarantee.
• The PadLock™ heel cup always keeps the heel in place for better acceleration.
• Non-slip and easily replaceable rear cleat.
• Form Fit fit with wide forefoot for perfect connection and exceptional comfort.
• The titanium threaded bushings can be reversed to move the cleat further back by up to 5mm.
